Pre-university programs

Discover our programs

What we call a “cégep” constitutes the first level of higher education in the Quebec education system and is comparable to technical high schools and university institutes of technology in the French system.

Our pre-university programs

The cégep

“Cégep” is a term used in Quebec to describe a college offering the first level of post-secondary education. (The name is an acronym derived from the French for “general and professional teaching college.”)

Our pre-university programs are designed for students wishing to pursue university studies after obtaining their Diploma of College Studies (DCS). The two-year programs include both general and field-specific subjects, both of which are required to qualify for university.

It’s important to have a good understanding of your main interests and objectives to ensure you choose the right program. This is an important step because your diploma will be your passport for entering the job market or taking on other life projects.
